Couhig Partners is a New Orleans-based law firm serving businesses and individuals across the country. Many of our attorneys invest in, operate, and advise companies across industries. We are not observers of the business world, we are participants in it.
When you bring us a problem, we understand the pressure behind it: the deadline that cannot move, the partner relationship worth preserving, the deal that must close. We have sat in those seats and made those calls.
Our team also brings deep experience as commercial litigators, with matters tried and resolved in state and federal courts across the country and before the United States Supreme Court. That litigation background shapes how we approach every matter, not just the disputes that end up in court, because we know what a conflict looks like before it becomes one.
FOUNDING VISION
The Decision To Do It Differently
Couhig Partners was founded in 2003 by Rob Couhig, following three decades of practice at one of the largest firms in the South. The decision to leave was intentional. Big law often creates distance between lawyers and clients, wraps advice in unnecessary process, and measures success in hours rather than outcomes. Rob wanted to build something different.
The firm he built is structured around direct access to senior lawyers, flexible and transparent alternative fee structures, and a modern, technology-forward approach. That founding mission continues to guide us today, shaping how we practice, how we communicate and how we work with every client.
